A while ago, when I was still sick with that eye thing, Mic took me to Sindang for some Tokbokki. Let me tell you, whatever my version of heaven consists of, it includes a tokbokki alley! Our conversation that night consisted mostly of this:

him: STOP TOUCHING YOUR EYES!!!!!
me: I can't help it! There's stuff oozing out of them...it hurts!!!!!
him: There's noth...OH MY GOD!!!! THAT'S DISGUSTING!!!!!

As you can imagine, it was alot of fun for me. After we ate we wandered around Seoul, trudging through Dongdaemun and other parts around there for a few hours before heading home.

Last week, Brendan Teacher approached me carefully in the teacher's room and using his best puppy dog eyes and sad voice, he said, "Jessica Teacher, if you're not too busy do you think you could show me where tokbokki alley is?" Really, he could've saved the theatrics. Any excuse to eat tokbokki is fine with me. So last night we went back to Sindang! We ate. we drank beer, we had some ice cream, and then we headed home.

Some pics from Sunday's Southside Hash. Kit Kat's last one in Korea (for awhile, anyway) as she's leaving the Air Force and going to join her husband (Gay Ho) in Texas. All you San Antonio and Austin hashers had better look out for her and give her a proper hazing, er, I mean welcome, to your trails.

In hopes of making this the shortest hash trash ever, here's what I have to say: Good trail, good people, good times. Especially the fountain. On-on to next week.

SATURDAY

At 7:56 a.m. on Saturday morning I was rudely awakened by a text from Silicone. Fucker. Seriously people, if no one's dead and/or on fire, don't attempt communication with me on a weekend before 10. I'm only thinking of you guys...I'm really not fit to be around other humans before then.

Anyway, since I was up I headed over to 신사 for the annual Men R Pigs hash with the Yongsan Kimchi H3. It was my girl Kit Kat's last trail with them and she was also haring, so I'm glad I went. T3 and I had a blast on trail, though we didn't do much running. We did, however, get in alot of beer drinking. I think we stopped at every mart we passed! We even hashed through 약수, with me keeping my fingers crossed and saying "Please don't let me see my students, please don't let me see my students..." I wish I had taken my camera on trail, but I didn't. Too bad, so sad. Trail ended close to Dongguk University and there was food and beer waiting for us. There were all kinds of games being played in honor of the Men R Pigs theme, but I can't get into that crap so Silicone and I headed out early, before the circle.

Saturday night I headed to The Wolfhound in Itaewon to show my support for the Strikers, which is Heidi's soccer team. They were hosting a beach party, and it was a good time. They had a great turnout, and I think they made lots of money for the team. Keeping Heidi on the roster isn't cheap, lemme tell ya. I was there with my usual crowd (lovely to see all of you as usual) and I also got to see lots of other friends I hadn't seen in awhile. It was a great time, but I was exhausted and left around 11:30. Yup, I'm old and I suck. I think I was asleep by midnight. I didn't quite realize how lame I was until I got a text from 민호 around 1 and had to write back, "I'm already sleeping." Anyway, here's some pics from Saturday night. Enjoy bitches!
