A few days ago I finished reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and I loved it. Before that I read Beyond the Sky and the Earth, The Castle of My Skin, and Citizen Girl and I enjoyed all of them. I need a new book!! Something funny this time around, I think...

Any suggestions?

What are you in the mood for? Mystery? Adventure? Non-fiction?

I like anything, though I don't usually go in for sci-fi. Just looking for suggestions to add to my book list...alot of times here I have to settle for what's in English instead of what I really want.

Maybe that 'report to the board' is just what I need to cure my insomnia!!!

you have to know how to read the report. "assistance of the local police" means someone was loudly and forcibly removed. "assisted by state parole" means someone left in cuffs and shackles. "failure to seek employment" was the jerk who refused to get out of bed until we threw ice water on him. and so on.

If you dig Janet Evanovich, you'll dig Bill Fitzhugh. Two of his that are connected by the main character, Radio Activity, and then Highway 61 Resurfaced. Funny as hell murder mysteries with the detective being a radio dj.

Gee, who'da guessed I'd like something like that!
