Weekend Update

Ok, Ok...so it's Thursday night and I'm just getting around to filling you in on last weekend. Sue me. I've been a little busy lately. Unfortunately it's been mostly work related busyness, instead of fun stuff.

The weather on Saturday was really beautiful. Such a great day to be outside. I went with Jiyeon to The Palace of Something or Other, where King I-Can't-Remember-His-Name lived until he died in his bedroom about a million years ago. How's that for a history lesson? OK, hang on...I'll dig out my Lonely Planet guide and look it up...it was Deoksugung, which became a palace in 1593. It was really beautiful...the kind of place that made me wish I knew a little more about photography. In 1919 the former King died here in his bedroom. This is a picture of the view from his bedroom window now. Think he ever imagined Korea being anything like this?

Here's a few more shots of the palace...I was trying to get some of the colors and details, but again, I'm no photographer.
MOTHERFUCKER!! I hate blogger!! It takes forever to upload photos and then it doesn't fucking work anyway!! Sorry guys, I'll try again later.

So, where was I? Oh yeah...after the palace we went to a museum, where we saw an exhibit called '100 years, 100 chairs.' I'm not kidding...we actually looked at 100 chairs, many of which looked like shit you would find in the basement of a condemned building. We got yelled at about a million times for touching them, so my 'I don't speak Korean' face actually came in handy for once. Usually it just makes me look like an idiot. At the end of the long line of chairs they had some really cool black and white photos of famous people sitting in the chairs. We also saw an exhibit by Robert Indiana (which was the real reason we went - it wasn't for the chairs!). Just tried to upload a few more shots of the museum, and of course it won't work. I'm heading out for some coffee...hopefully blogger will be a little more cooperative when I get back!!

I wonder if your " I don't speak Korean face" is anything like my "deer in headlights face"? I enjoy using that face when I get pulled over or get caught using the boys bathroom,HEY, sometimes you just gotta go. You really didn't need to know any of this info but I'm in a generous useless info kinda mood.
