I personally like Canon Powershot series (there are both lower and higher end models) in terms of features, price, design etc.
I'm really happy with my kodak easy share, but I'm not a digital expert. I have a subscription to consumer reports, let me know if you want to check on anything there.
I use a Sony Cybershot and in my opinion, my humble, humble opinion...it rocks!
The Canon Powershot series is a good recommendation. I've owned 2 in the past few years and they've performed well for me. The only problem with the Sony is that they use the memory sticks instead of the more standard SD cards.
I'm not a fan of Sony cameras...they aren't sturdy enough for my lifestyle. I've had 3 Canons in the past (2 stolen, 1 lost) and I really like them...I've dropped them several times, gotten them soaked in river crossings, allowed 4 year olds to run around the classroom with them, spilled beer on them, and they never break. Maybe I'll go with another one...
You need to take me with you..ask RL I am the best barginer EVER! I get you good deal ;)
